After rape, the victim goes through someone called “rape trauma syndrome” There are two ways that it can go: Either the patient uses expressed response pattern or controlled response pattern. What are the difference?

A

Expressed: survivor expresses feelings of fear, anger, anxiety, through such behaviors as crying, sobbing, restlessness, and tension.
Controlled: feelings are masked or hidden, and a calm, composed, or subdued affect is seen
