  1. Establish and maintain A/C control, flt path clear of terrain, identify and verify nature of malfunction and complete memory items
  2. Complete ACAWS crew action items, engine-out considerations, determine COA (continue, mission abort, return to base/divert, etc.) and brief the plan
  3. Monitoring/managing degraded systems, prepare fro unscheduled LDG if necessary, employ crewmember at ACS`

Immediate actions and stabilization during emergency

A
  • Regardless of altitude PF keep controls and maintain safe flight path until immediate action items are completed- <1000 AGL
  • PM announce nature of malfunction (engine failure) and perform duties as required
  • >1000 AGL PM state precise nature of malfunction (gearbox No. 1 no oil pressure), PF shall verify and verbally confirm malfunction, AC then calls for appropriate checklist/crew action
  • AC should assume role of PM
