7.4 Lecture Flashcards
(9 cards)
What is cytoplasm.
The environment enclosed by the plasma membrane is a semifluid material called cytoplasm.
What does the Mitochondria do?
Converts fuel particles into usable energy.
Do vacuoles appear in the plant or animal cell?
Plant Cell
What contains most of the Cells DNA
The Nucleus
What do Lysosomes do?
Vesicles that contain substances that digest excess or worn-out organelles and food particles.
What is a Golgi apparatus?
A flattened stack of membranes that modifies, sorts, and packages proteins.
Does the Cell Wall apear in the plant or animal cell?
Plant Cell
What are Centrioles?
Organelles made of groups of microtubules that function during cell division.
What is the Cytoskeleton?
Supporting network of long, thin protein fibers that form a framework for the cell and proved an anchor for the organelles.
