1
Q

Q

what is important thing if we recognize the stroke?

A
  • The patient could have less brain damage If adequate blood flow can be restored early (<3 hours)

Q

Causes of Strokes

A
  • 85 % Ischemia (decrease blood supply) due to:
  • Thrombus
    Blood Clot
Formed Due To Hypertension, Cholesterol, DIABETES
  • Emboli
Particles of the blood clot lodge in a small blood vessel causing stoppage of blood flow
  • 15% Other type: hemorrhage (xuất huyết)
-Direct blood into brain tissue caused by rupture (=break) of blood vessels
-Due to hypertension, aneurysm (phình động mạch)
