A

In the neonatal unit - Penicillin & Gentamicin

In the paed ward - Cefotaxime & Amoxicillin

Either is correct, it’s just a convention on what they use

  • Glc for hypoglycaemia
  • ECG for Long QT or other arrhythmia
  • EEG (helps in diagnosing epilepsy)

Children have:

  • High chest wall compliance
  • Lower SVR
  • Lower surface area for air-tissue interface
