Test 1 (material)

Answer 1

Put a small beaker in a larger beaker
Add 80cm3 of water boiled in a kettle
Use cardboard with a hole for the thermometer as a lid
Measure the temperature every minute for 3 minutes
Add insulation and repeat with different insulators each time

Test 2 (thickness)

Answer 2

Wrap 2 layers of insulating material around a 100cm3 beaker
Add 80cm3 of water boiled in a kettle
Add a lid with a hole for the thermometer
Write down the temperature every 3 minutes
Repeat by adding 2 layers each time
