The land of opportunity has always attracted immigrants from around the world. As a result, the population of the USA is made up of a wide variety of different races. The majority of the people came - and still come today- in the hope of making a better life for themselves in America . By far the largest group of immigrants today is from Mexico, followed by China . It is a far less popular destination of European immigrants nowadays.
