A

assess extent of sensory loss,
document sensory loss,
identify lesion location,
determine functional impairment and limitations,
Provide direction of treatment and interventions,
(person as a map= where they do and don’t have sensation)

Primary somatosensory= receptive, to receive input from the outside world

Cortical= perceptual/perception, to figure out what is going on
