what does system monitor do?
System Monitor displays all running processes, usually in alphabetical order. It shows important details like CPU usage, RAM usage, and system performance. It also allows you to end, stop, or restart processes.
what to do if a process is using too many system resources?
If a process is using too many system resources, you can take action using System Monitor. It also allows you to kill zombie processes, which can slow down your system.
To manage a process, just right-click on it in the list. A menu will appear — choose the action you want from there.

🔴 Stop: Pauses the process.
🟡 Continue: Resumes a paused process.
✅ End: Gently ends the process (signal 15).
❌ Kill: Forcefully ends the process immediately (signal 9).
