Noun
A word that is a person, place, thing, animal, or idea. (examples: teacher, cheetah, school year, season of fall)
Pronouns
A word that takes the place of a noun. (examples: she, he, they, I)
Verb
A word that gives a sentence action. (examples: walked, jogged, sped, clogged)
Adverb
A word that describes an adjective or verb. (examples: quickly, soon, always)
Adjectives
A word that describes a noun or pronoun and makes reading more exciting. (examples: big, small, ferocious)
Conjunction
A word that connects words, phrases, or clauses. (examples: FANBOYS for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so… and more)
Prepositions
A word that tells time, place or position. Connecting words is its main mission. (examples: before, beside)
Interjection
A word that expresses stong emotion. The word show a spontaneous feeling. (examples: wow, hey, yeah, ewwww)
Indefinite pronoun
Pronouns that do not refer to any specific person, place, or amount
Reflexive pronoun
Pronouns that reflex on the original pronoun/subject in the sentence, but then use a new term that ends in “-self” or “-selves”
