Facial muscles lie in the superficial fascia - more superficial

Facial muscles attach to skin or other muscles

PDuct runs anteriorly, superficial to the Masseter and then pierces the Buccinator
After piercing the buccinator, the duct enters the oral cavity opposite the 2nd maxillary (upper) molar
