As it relates to this, you may as well view a mobile phone practically as a home router. Mobile phones are not supported for long after they are produced and even during the time that they are, you will likely not receive many security updates (especially if your mobile comes from a lesser known manufacturer).
Side note: IOS is generally safer; same with Google’s Nexus.
Most businesses have integrated smart-phone use to a much greater extent over the course of time and with the lack of security in many modern day phones, they’ve become quite a bit more susceptible to cyber attacks.
Lots of people use their phones to make purchases online and if they don’t have proper security they could be at risk of having their PayPal, credit card, debit card etc. credentials stolen.
