What does Operation Toral involve?

A

UK forces have two major tasks:

1) Training and mentoring Afghan forces.
2) Providing force protection for NATO advisers.

The RAF’s contribution involves providing life-saving air transport to NATO troops and visiting dignitaries around Kabul via the three Puma’s that were deployed in 2015 to replace the Chinooks that formally carried out the role.
