There are two Explosive Anchorages. The Fairweather Anchorage has a 300 yd radius with its center 1 NM SE of Pt. Hudson. The Foul Weather anchorage has a 300 yd radius and is .25 SSW of Walan Pt.

Describe conditions at Explosive Anchorages

Anchorages are 12-15 fthms deep and reserved for vessels with explosives. If a mechanical anchor is not onboard, COTP may require a tug. Vessels must have a permit to remain over 30 days. Vessels must display a 16 square foot red flagon the masthead or 10 feet above the deck and a red light at night in addition to anchor shapes and lights. Explosive Transfer can only happen with COTP permission.
