Mic Output -> Preamp -> Line Input -> Processing -> DAW -> Monitor Returns -> Fader -> Pan -> Mix A

How do you set up Pre Fader Split?

A
  1. ) wake up channel select by pressing + and - together
  2. ) press SELECT then ALL to select all channels
    - should be a green highlight around all channels in the TFT display
  3. ) in CHANNEL IN, select MIC
  4. ) in CHANNEL OUTPUT, select PRE FADER
  5. ) in CHANNEL IN, select SPLIT
  6. ) in BUS ROUTING, select MIX A
  7. ) set Duality meters to show mic preamp level
    - in CHANNEL METERS, press INPUT
  8. ) deselect all channels by pressing + and - together

How do you patch in microphones for Pre Fader Split?

A
  1. ) plug in microphones to desired channels in the studio
  2. ) patch mic tie lines into channel inputs corresponding to the tracks you wish to record on
    - MIC LINES (#) -> CHANNEL INPUTS (#) in the patchbay
  3. ) turn on phantom power if you are using a condenser microphone
    - select channel you need by pressing SELECT at the very bottom of the channel
    - select +48V in the INPUT section of the central routing panel
  4. ) record arm the DAW tracks
  5. ) adjust mic preamp inputs with red knob at top of module
  6. ) bring up faders to hear sound source
