A
  • monitor heat, ventilation, and air-conditioning
  • clean air filtration system frequently
  • use proper oral and lab evacuation and ventilation techniques during bio-aerosol producing procedures
  • use vacuum dust collection system during dust-producing lab procedures
  • use HVE during all intraoral procedures that produce aerosols
  • use rubber dams
  • use pre-procedural mouth rinse
  • conduct pre-procedural biofilm removal through coronal polishing, brushing and flossing
  • wear appropriate PPE, ie. masks, protective clothing, proper eyewear and face shields, gloves
  • keep all containers tightly covered
  • pour chemicals rather than spraying
  • use lids on ultrasonic cleaners and other chemical cleaners
