State 2 points describing ‘homeostasis’.
A
- regulation of internal environment of a cell or organism.
- Osmoregulation, thermoregulation, regulation of carbon dioxide, metabolises and ph levels.

What is the purpose of ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ feedback mechanisms?
A
Positive = amplify the situation (no role in homeostasis). Negative = Notices and corrects

What is ‘thermoregulation’?
A
The regulation of body function. The hypothalamus (area of the brain) = maintains body temperature as well as sensory info.
