1. Inform patient and gain consent
2. bring heels up and together and relax knees outwards.
3. inspect vulva and ask patient to cough
4. Lubricate fingers
5. separate labia insert fingers sindeways and tell patient
6. Assess vagina, palpate the uterus nand palpate the adenexa
7. Withdraw and inspect fingers.

abdomen soft and non tender
vulva was normal
vagina was normal
no cervical excitation
uterus was normal shape size, non tender and was retroverted
adenexa was unremarkable with no masses
normal vaginal examination
