What is AIO?
All-in-one device is one which is multifunctional. They can also be known as MFDs (multifunctional devices)
What does MFD stand for?

Used by keen amateurs and professional photographers.
What is GPS?
A Global Positioning System (GPS) is an accurate navigational facility.
How does GPS work?
It uses the signals from orbiting satellites to work out the position of the device.
What is broadband?
Is a high speed transmission technique. Where frequencies are used to transmit messages
What does broadband commonly refer to?
Internet access through a range of different networks including DSL, WiFi, 3G, 4G.
What does CNC stand for?
Computer Numerically Controlled
How do Computer Numerically Controlled machines work?
These machines are automated using software programs to carry out precision production of parts used in manufacturing and construction.
What is hardware?
Is computer equipment that you can physically touch.
Examples of hardware?
The computer itself and other digital devices. Peripheral devices include: mouse, keyboard, monitor etc
What is software?
Applications or programs which are installed onto digital devices. They allow us to carry out certain functions.
Examples of software?
Microsoft word, Microsoft access, Microsoft excel etc
What is an interface?
A point where multiple systems meet and interact. It allows a user to communicate whilst using a computer.
What is a platform?
Is the operating system which enables applications or programs to operate on a digital devices.
What does GUI stand for?
Graphical User Interface
What does a GUI allow the user to do?
Allows the user to interact with a digital device using graphical icons.
What is a driver?
A routine program that operates peripheral devices such as monitors and keyboards
What does HTML stand for?
What is it used for?
Stands for Hypertext markup language.
Is used to create web pages
What is flash?
Is software used to create and play animated software
What is the worldwide web?
Is a method of accessing information over the internet.
What is the internet?
Is a networking structure that allows communication and access to information between devices that have access to the internet.
