8 = RPh in MA (referred to as the Commonwealth); each licensed in MA for 7 consecutive years
2 -> independent
2 -> chain
1 -> at least 7 years hospital
1 -> at least 7 years LTC
1 -> at least 7 years sterile compounding
1 -> academia

1 = pharm tech
1 = physician
1 = nurse
1 = rep of public; experience in health care
1 = expert in pt safety or quality improvement

What board members are elected? How long is their term?

A

President and secretary - each serve for 1 year per term of membership

The Board meets the first Tuesday of December each year to elect a president and a secretary.
-> To be eligible you must be a member of the BOP.

Elected members will serve for 1 year. Each member is eligible to serve as president for 1 year and as secretary for 1 year per term of membership.
