What is the cause of gallbladders opening a fistula into the duodenum?
When a gallbladder sits in the fundus for long enough and causes inflammation for long enough it can cause an opening between the gallbladder and the duodenum. This can then allow the gallstone to escape the gallbladder and may obstruct the ileocecal junction
