Cherry: “It won’t hurt. Lie down.”
Lewis lies down
Cherry: “So here comes Despina. In position for the scene, girls. Roy, down there.”
Cherry [to women]: “You are worried - you think I am a doctor.”
Roy: “Stop her directing or you’ll create a monster-“
“You’re Cherry, pretending to be Despina, pretending to be a doctor-“
fake volts, Roy method acting
Cherry: “Ok, the both of you. Two hundred, three hundred, four hundred.”
snaps fingers to cue girls
Julie: “They’re moving.”
“Twisting.”
Henry: “Ssssshaking.”
Julie: “They’ll hit their heads.”
“They’ll bash their heads.”
Cherry: “Hold their heads steady.”
[with Julie] “We’ll do that.”
Cherry: “Hold tight. Courage. Now, they’re safe from death.”
Julie: “They’re looking around.”
“They’re recovering their strength.”

Lewis: “We may as well go to the end of the scene.”
Cherry: “We did that yesterday, it’s all that kissing and stuff. This seems realer, doesn’t it?”
“Yes, the more real it is, the more real it is.”
Roy line, Cherry shock treatment line
Julie: “It’s supposed to be a comedy.”

“Comedy is better when it’s real.”
Roy love rant, why Roy wants Cosi
Lewis: “We just won’t have time to learn the music.”
“You should never have got him to do that shock treatment. He’s depressed now.”
Zac puts set down on table, set chat
Julie: “You’re a genius, Zac. What are you on?”
Zac: “A lower dosage. It’s amazing how much more bright the world seems.”
“Are you going to use real trees?”
Lewis: “Yes, leave it to me, okay? Ok back to work.”
Cherry: “What about lunch?”
Lewis: “All right, let’s get back to rehearsal.”

Lewis: “We’ll go from where we left off this morning, Ferrando seducing Fiordiligi.”
Cherry: “It’s easy to see that Fiordiligi’s not like Dorabella, who was a bit of a tart giving in so easily. At least one can say that most women aren’t like her.”
“It wasn’t me, it was the character.”
Lewis: “You were pretending?”
[uncomfortable] “Yes.”
Henry temptress lines
Lewis: “Okay, let’s take it from your last lines.”
[with Roy] “Oh happy exchange

Lewis and Julie lines

Cherry: “Hey!”
“It’s Doug! It’s Doug! Lewis, it’s Doug.”
Zac orgy, Cherry bumps model
Julie: “I like this. I like the dark. That’s what I hate about the wards - they’re never really totally dark, there’s always a light on in the corridor or whatever. Never true pitch black.”
“I’m not keen on it. I used to have a boyfriend who tied me up and put me in a wardrobe so I wouldn’t run away. Four knots or maybe it was three. He’d sit outside the wardrobe door and tell me he’d kill me if I ran away.”
