A

Primary = destruction/dysfunctional adrenal gland (Addison’s Disease)

Secondary = inadequate pituitary release = cortisol –

Tertiary = inadequate hypothalamic corticotrophin release hormone = ACTH –

Infection
-TB, meningococcal, systemic fungal, pseudomonas aeruginosa

Autoimmune

  • Antibody against adrenal cortex
  • Antibody against 21 hydroxylase

  • ID bracelet
  • Steroid card
