Advance Circuits

Short field Take off procedure

A
  • Flaps 10
  • Align with the runway center line
  • Full brakes + full power applied
  • When RPM is stabilized, release

Q

Advance circuits

Soft field takeoff procedure

A
  • Always lift the nose up while taxiing and rolling, by continuously applying backpressure
  • Gently apply full power, hold back pressure
  • Aircraft will float above the runway due to ground effect
  • Gently level with the ground to gain airspeed
  • Continue to climb Vy

Q

Forward slip procedure

A

1 – Power to IDLE + flaps (Optional)

2 – Apply full rudder and ailerons into the wind + forward pressure (minimum 65 kias)

3 – Recover by neutralizing ailerons & rudder + gently apply back pressure

4 – Use flaps as needed to reduce airspeed for approach (Optional)
