Low Speed STAB-EX

A

60* NH, 85% MIN

As airspeed bleeds below 170, unload to 0.5G. Attempt to maintain level flight as nose falls through the horizon, note stall indications. Unload to 0.5G until 175, then add power and recover to level flight.

A

Configure, slow to ~10 knots below FA speed. Perform coordinated turns. Deconfigure and recover.

A

Established in level slow flight

Retract flaps to 60%, note AOA and acceleration. Return to full flaps and slow flight airspeed. Retract flaps to UP, note changes and indications.

Pitchback

A

MIL, 450-500. Bank <90* and do a straight pull to 4-5G’s (light buffet). Maintain nosetrack through 180 degree HDG change. Finish inverted then recover.

A

MIL, 200-300. Bank >90. Pull to light buffet (green donut) through 180 degrees of HDG change. Roll out wings level.

A

MIL, 300. Enter a 2-3 G level turn. Note slight tickle. Increase backstick pressure to mild buffet/wing rock and note effects.

A

Configured, Level flight, decreasing airspeed. Pull smoothly back to the stop. Note buffet and DIBI. Relax backstick pressure, once airspeed is increasing, add power and recover.

Simulated Trim Failure

A

300, level flight, trimmed. Without re-trimming, slow to green speed. Configure once below 240. Note pressures. Retrim. Execute a simulated go-around without re-trimming.

A
