- Threat to safety with time available to brief cabin crew OR no evacuation required
- EG. Engine Failure / smoke

- “Attention; ISM to the flight deck” x 2, OR
- “Attention; ISM to the interphone” x 2

- Possible ground evacuation OR Approx 2 minutes to an emergency landing
- EG. RTO following a fire / non extinguishable fire on departure with a turn back required

- Cycle seatbelt signs OFF then ON 6 or more times

- “Attention; evacuate, evacuate”
* If the PA is inoperative:
* Cabin crew at doors 1 are to shout any order from the flight crew down the cabin to relay the order throughout the aircraft
What is a precautionary landing?
A non-normal condition exists and in the opinion of the PIC, there is a low risk of an emergency evacuation after landing. A precautionary landing is conducted under an ALERT phase using normal procedures
What is a precautionary disembarkation?
An emergency evacuation is not appropriate and there is adequate time available to conduct a controlled disembarkation
Situation updates, instructions or briefings command?
“Crew to interphones”
Cancel the alert phase?
“Crew normal operations, crew normal operations”
Following an RTO which poses no threat, what PA can you make?
“Consider a normal PA”

What is an Emergency Landing?
