algebraic expression
a mathematical phrase that contains terms that include numbers, variables, or a combination of numbers and variables

a list of values where the difference between one term and the next term is always the same value, called the common difference.
example: 2, 5, 8, 11… has a common difference of 3
geometric sequence
a list of values where the difference between one term and the next term is always a multiple of the same value, called the common ratio.
example: 1, 2, 4, 8… has a common ratio of 2.
