What is flogging
This was a torture method where the victim would be publicly tied to a pillar and their hand bound and they would be whipped
What is burning at the stake
A pile of dry wood with a stake in the middle then set alight
How long did burning at the stake take
Half and hour up to two hours with wind

Tied down to a mechanical device usually a turning wheel it tightens the ropes stretching the victim till dislocations or amputations
What is roasting feet over burning coals
Victim had feet bound to starch and had feet burnt by hot coals

Victims hands tied behind their back then lifted off the ground by their wrists

Bound to a rack with their head lower than the rest of their body and water would be poured into their mouth until they would drown
