What is a disease
condition whereby part or all of an organism’s normal physiological function is upset.

a natural or man made chemical that kills a biotic cell

They are microscopic prokaryotic organisms that live in diverse conditions
what is a body mass index
a BMI is a comparison of a persons weight and height. If a persons BMI is over 30, the person is considered obese
what is degenerative diseases (give example + symptoms)
Occurs as the body ages and undergoes degenerative changes. Degenerative diseases occur when the body’s homeostatic responses fail, as a result of cells dying, or slower rates.
Fungi
is a pathogen that occurs in plants and humans. for example, in humans it can occur as athletes foot.

Any condition that impairs the normal activity of an organism. for example, Ebola - pain in joins, nausea
Lifestyle diseases (give example + symptoms)
a wide range of disorders that are influenced by living conditions and personal behaviour. For example, lung cancer - hard to breathe, weakness

pathogens are microscopic, prokaryotic organisms that live in diverse conditions
Viruses (give example + symptoms)
are very small, and have a simple genetic make up (usually of DNA wrapped in a protein shell). For example, the influenza virus - muscle soreness runny nose
Inherited diseases (give example + symptoms)
inherited diseases are caused by mutations in genes. This mutation is passed down through generations. For example, down syndrome is caused by a mutation in chromosome 21
