Discourse Ethics

A

Aims to solve ethical conflicts by providing a process of norm generation through reflection on real life experiences and participants. An ethical decision is reached unanimously. The ultimate goal of business ethical issues should be the peaceful settlement of conflicts. ‘Ideal discourse’ should meet certain criteria: impartiality, non-persuasiveness, non-coercion and expertise.

Postmodern Ethics

A

Morality is beyond the sphere of rationality in an emotional ‘moral impulse’ towards others - it encourages actors to question everyday rules. In business contexts, this means holistic approaches unseparated between private and professional morality, to help individuals understand and overcome unquestioned rules that constrain them, and to connect with communities affected by business decisions.
