What are the five principles and the main principles of the enlightenment?
Five principles: Equal Rights, Rationalism and the Scientific method, Freedom of Religion, Truth
Main Principles: Freedom, Democracy, Truth :-)
What are the causes and outcomes of the French and Indian war?
Causes- people were moving to the colonies and were self governed, as more moved in the colonists were moving west which caused conflict in Ohio
Outcomes- Native Americans were displaced, George Washington was sent to Ohio River Valley, British won, French got all territory in Canada.
What was the Stamp Act
A tax on paper goods and other items imposed by the British Parliament on the American Colonies in 1765
What was the Boston Massacre
British soldiers shot into a crowd of rowdy colonists in front of the Custom House on King Street, killing five and wounding six.
What was the role of Women during the Boycott
Started running farms/businesses, spies, uplifted the armies and nurtured them.
What was the Boston Tea Party
A protest on the Taxation of tea where American Colonists dumped 340 chests of tea into the ocean.
What were the Townshend Acts
A series of laws passed by the British Parliament on the American Colonists that imposed taxes and regulations in 1767 and 1768
In the First Continental Congress, what were their goals?
They wanted to show support for Boston after the intolerable acts, and they wanted to send a letter to King George III.

Sons of Liberty- A patriot who uses violence to solve conflicts
Patriot- Colonist
What were the reasons, significance, and outcomes of the Battles of Lexington and Concord?
Reason- the British were going to go to Lexington and Concord to take supplies they thought were there
Significance- It was the first major battle of the Revolution
Outcomes- British won but 300 of them died which gave the colonists the confidence for the next battle.
2nd Continental Congress- What were their goals?
The British wanted to control the Hills outside of Boston and they wanted to stop them.
Battle of Bunker Hill- Reasons, significance, and outcomes
Reasons- The Americans learned that the British were going to take control of the Hills outside of Boston.
Significance- The British do win but they lost more troops than the colonists so it shows that the colonists can fight for their country.
Outcomes- Colonists eventually lost but it was a moral booster.
What were the Role of Women in the AR?
They took over farms and businesses, they were camp followers, spies.
What were the Role of Native Americans in the AR?
Militiamen made no distinction between hostile and friendly NA, nearly every single town was burned to the ground.
What was the role of African Americans in the AR?
The British recruited enslaved African Americans and not all actions were favorable.
What did Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson write?
Paine- Common Sense
Jefferson- Declaration of Independence
Washington Crossing the Delaware, Trenton, and Valley Forge- Reasons, Significance, Outcomes, and Von Steuben
Reasons- They wanted to secure a victory, since they lost so much.
Significance:
- Washington Crossing the Delaware; It helped boost their confidence
-Valley Forge; helped troops recover and strategize
Outcomes- As many as 2000 deserted the army.
Von Steuben trained the armies of the American Colonists.
Siege of Yorktown and Treaty of Paris- Reasons, Significance, and outcomes.
Reasons- the British were still trying to keep the colonists under their power.
Significance- It was the last battle of the AR
Outcomes- Fought for 11 days until Cornwallis surrendered, which was on October 9th, 1781.
