A

P means Unserviceable (Reclamation) determined to be unserviceable as an assembly and is uneconomically repairable but which contains serviceable or economically repairable components or assemblies to be reclaimed.

CODITION CODE VICTOR

A

V means Unserviceable (Waste Military Munitions) determined to be unserviceable based on meeting the criteria of waste munitions under the Environmental Protection Agency Military Munitions Rule and DOD Munitions Rule Implementation Policy, be safe to store and ship based on DOD Explosive Safety Board/Department of Transportation criteria and has a current serviceability inspection. Can only be assigned by a designated DOD or Service Designated Disposition Authority (DDA).

  1. What is a Defect Code?
A

Defect Codes are a Six-Digit alpha-numeric code that complements and /or supplements condition codes by identifying specific reasons for condition code assignments and / or identifying specific defects or conditions that exist.

  1. What are Lot Numbers?
A

Lot Numbers are in two different formats (Before and After 1977). The new Lot numbering system uses up to 14 characters in length and no characters will be separated by spaces. The minimum number of characters used will be 13 under the new system. If a one or two character manufacturer’s identification code is used, the remaining positions of the three character field will be filled by dashes (-), i.e., A–, AB-.

AMC is the Manufacturer’s Identification Code. 75 is the two digit numeric code identifying the year of production. D means single alpha code signifying the month of production. 018 means the Lot interfix number. 124 means the Lot sequence number.

A

Ammunition Transaction Report. It provides asset, expenditure, and stock status data to the Ordnance Information System.

A

ATR’s are submitted on an ‘as-occurring’ basis within 24 hours after the occurrence of a reportable transaction.
