Flexion
movement that decreases arm and leg angle (for arm it would be bringing it forward but for leg it would be bringing it back)
extension
movement that increases arm and leg angle
abduction
at shoulder and hip, moves limb away from body
adduction
moves limb closer to body
circumduction
producing spinning movement at ball and socket joints that are highly mobile (shoulder and hip)
rotation
turns body away or towards midline, occurs at neck, shoulder, hip and knee
lateral rotation
away from midline
medial rotation
towards midline
pronation
moves hand into palm down position
supination
moves hand into palm up position

pointing toes towards floor
dorsiflexion
pointing toes towards ceiling
heart apex
slightly left
what does each lung reach from?
collarbone to the diaphragm which sits on top of the abdominal cavity
