-Anglo-Saxons produced art which included highly decorated manuscripts of the Bible and Gospels, and carved stone crosses with scenes from the Bible.
-The Alfred Jewel likely made in AD 890 is the finest surviving example of Anglo- Saxon art featuring high-quality enamel , surrounded by intricate metal work in gold.
