animal , plant and bacteria cells Flashcards
(6 cards)
what sub cellular structures do animal cells contain?
cell membrane - separates the interior from the environment outside
nucleus - contains chromosomes
ribosomes - responsible for making proteins
mitochondria - is where aerobic respiration takes place
cytoplasm - where most of the cells chemical reaction take place
name some common types of animal cells
- skin cells
- muscle cells
- blood cells
- nerve cells
- fat cells
a typical plant cell contains sub cellular structures include
permenant vacole - enclosed in a membrane, makes up to 90% of the plant cells volume, stores water
chloroplasts - contains chlorophyll which is needed for photosynthesis
cell wall - surrounds cells and is made of cellulose , increases the structural strength of the cell
sub cellular structures of a bacterial cell …
cytoplasm - where most of the cells chemical reaction takes place
ribosomes - are responsible for making proteins
cell wall and membrane - provides structure
plasmids - small rings of dna
some have flagella - used for movements
what is bacteria an example off? (cell wise)
prokaryotic cell
where does most of the chemical reactions take place?
cytoplasm
