coronoid process of ulna

Insertion: lateral surface of midshaft radius

Action: Forearm pronation, assists with elbow flexion

Innervation: Median Nerve (C6, C7)

A

Origin: Medial epicondyle of humerus

Insertion: Base of 2nd and 3rd metacarpal

Action: Wrist flexion, abduction

A

Origin:
Humeral head = medial epicondyle of humerus
Ulnar head = olecranon and posterior border of ulna

Insertion: Pisiform bone, hook of hamate, base
of 5th metacarpal

Action: Wrist flexion, adduction

Innervation: Ulnar nerve (C7, C8)

A

Origin:
Humero-ulnar head = medial epicondyle of humerus and coronoid process of ulna
Radial head = superior half shaft of anterior radius

Insertion: middle phalanges of digits 2-5

Action: 2nd-5th MCP flexion, 2nd-5th PIP flexion, wrist flexion

Innervation: Median nerve

Flexor Digitorum Profundus

A

Origin: Ulna and interosseous membrane

Insertion: Distal phalanges 2-5

Action: 2nd-5th MCP flexion, 2nd-5th DIP flexion, wrist flexion

Innervation:
Medial 1/2 = ulnar nerve (C8, T1)
Lateral 1/2 = median nerve - anterior interosseous nerve (C8, T1)
