• Only Female that bites
• very young, old or hypertension are at greatest risk
• symptoms: symptoms starts 10 -60 min after bite, hypertension, respiratory distress, seizures
• subsides in 24 hrs

Management: reassure, rest, apply cold at site, pressure immobilization with elastic bandage not recommended
