An Echinocandin
Inhibits glucan formation
For fungicidal against non albicans candida spp, fungistatic against aspergillus
IV use only
Adverse Effects: relatively safe, pregnancy class C

Allylamines: Terbinafine, Naftifine, Butenafine
A
Inhibits squalene oxidase thus preventing synthesis of lanosterol (precursor for ergosterol)
For dermatophytic infections (tinea spp causing ringworm & athletes’s foot), scalp & nail infections
Adverse Effects: may worsen or induce subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus
