  • E.coli
  • Group B Streptococcus
  • Listeria Monocytogenes
  • Viruses (uncommon) - HSV (herpes simplex virus), CMV (Cytomegalovirus)

Therapy:

  • Ampicillin and Gentamycin OR
  • Ampicillin and Cefotaxime

Mycoplasma pneumonia and Chlamydia trachomatis: Treat w/ Azithromycin

Viruses: RSV, Influenza virus, para influenza, adenovirus, rhinovirus

PCN Resistant Streptococcus: Treat w/ Clindamycin or Linezolid

Myoplasma pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumonia, and Chlamydia trachomatis –> treat w/ Macrolide, EES, etc.

Aspiration pneumonia –> treat with Clindamycin
