A

  1. Changing the quantity/structure of DNA, this is a mutation.
  2. Recombining the existing DNA of two individuals. This occurs during sexual reproduction.

Explain one way in which antibiotics work…

A

They can prevent bacteria from making normal cell walls, the cell walls which are made as a result are weaker and so cannot withstand the pressure from the water so osmotic lysis occurs (cell bursts) and consequently the bacteria cell will die.
