What is the mechanism of action of carbimazole?
A
Metabolised to methimazole, which acts by inhibiting thyroid peroxidase and thereby the production of thyroid hormones.

A
Acts by inhibiting thyroid peroxidase and thereby the production of thyroid hormone. It has additional effect of blocking T4 conversion to T3 in the liver and other tissues
