Benzonatate CI/precautions

A

Caution: allergy to anesthetic agents in para-aminobenzoic acid class (procain, tetracaine)
Severe life-threatening reactions, such as CV collapse and bronchospasm, have occured from chewing or sucking capsule
overdose may result in death

SWALLOW CAPSULES WHOLE!!! do not chew or disolve, may be life-threatening
do not exceed prescribed dosage, may cause death
