We decided to use Heba’s perspective to strengthen our argument by including that animal testing can result in hazardous waste from laboratories and that disposing them would have a negative impact on the environment

Brooke: including that the disposal of animal research resources used in testing laboratories are an economical disadvantage which is because of how expensive it is

Mia: including that animal testing goes against morals and its harsh treatment towards animals is cruel by treating them as test subjects

Heba: I’ve learned that animal testing can be detrimental towards the environment due to the laboratories disposing hazardous waste and that the environment the animals live in can cause internal damage to their organs

Brooke: I’ve learned that the disposal of animal research resources can be a major disadvantage due to the amount of money that had already been spent on the testing and having it become wasted in the end

Mia: I’ve learned that ethically animal testing can go against the morals we have learned. The harsh treatment towards animals is cruel and they are often treated as test subjects in dangerous environments

I believe Brooke’s research had the most impact on the understanding of animal testing because it showed how negative the disposal of testing resources can be especially when all the work is put in and at the end it would have to be wasted

presentation and why?

Answer 8

We decided to exclude the effect that animal testing had on vaccinations and medical trials because we wanted to focus on the effect these situations had on animals

What is a way in which your team’s resolution makes you think
differently about your own individual research?

Answer 9

My team’s resolution was using computer modeling to prevent future animal tests and this made me think differently about my own research because vitro methods are another way to determine the safety of a product which doesn’t involve 3D modeling, but consists of lab grown cells.

made you think differently about your team’s solution or conclusion?

Answer 10

Mia made an argument in which humans can decrease the amount of animals being tested by their morals and creating movements against this, which can create an impact and can also be another solution.

  useful contribution to the project?

The historical perspective could have made a useful contribution to the project by determining thoughts on animal experimentation throughout the years and how there have been changes in which people are trying to preserve these animals
