What is the number one first thing you do when given a clearance for arrival?
Confirm Destination is correct!
ROUTE/ VIA/TO
Upon receipt of clearance, WX and landing dist. calculations complete, PF, “You have Control” will set up the FMS for approach, (A three step process). What is the first Page/Tile and to achieve what?
(Confirm/Change Destination as applicable ROUTE/LEGS)
-PERF-ARR (tab)-ARRIVAL (soft) (Build Approach)
Then what after an approach is built?
-ARRIVAL DATA- Check!
After inserting approach what would you normally do? (After arrival data check)
Check the data entry is correct ie: your track miles are correct and your LW is correct.
ROUTE/LEGS
What is the third step after destination confirmation and approach has been built? (checked)
PERF/APR
-Buid Flap and approach speeds
-The FMS is now programmed for approach.
Once FMS programmed for approach what next?
Setup Scan.
-Auto Brake
-DA/MDA/tune VOR (crs, bearg.)
Once the DA/MDA set, What next?
-Brief the Approach.
-Then, DESCENT and ARRROACH Checklist.
