Q

Decelerated approach

A

1) Above 2000ft = Green dot, Flaps 1, S speed Flaps 2
1) Bellow 2000ft = Green dot, flaps 1, flaps 2 one dot bellow glide slope.
2) when flaps 2, L/G down
3) when L/G down = Flap 3, Check Below VFE NEXT, Then flaps full
4) 1000ft Vapp stable, LDG Config

Q

Approach preparation

A

1) F-PLN introduce the instrument approach procedure, including the missed approach procedure for instrument approach.
2) Sec F-Plan the landing runaway must be inserted into the SEC F-PLN. Update the SEC F-PLAN as follows:
- copy the tactile F-PLN
- Revise the landing runway

Q

Low Vis Circling Approach Pattern

A

1) stable decent, initial config, flaps 3, gear down, spoilers armed and lights on.
2) at the MDA/H at the latest level off (push level off if the automatics are in). If no visual GO - Around
3) When Required conditions for circling are satisfied, select TRK-FPA, Fly 45 set for 30 sec from wings level.
4) Downwind Leg, Activate SEC F-PLAN
5) Abeam threshold, start CHRONO (3 SEC/100ft), then turn base at specific time wind adjusted.
6) one RWY THRESHOLD is in SIGHT, 200/300 ft/m decent (at base latest point before decent: disconnect AP, remove FD’s), flap full, landing checklist.
7) Final turn maintain 25 den bank
8) If visual is lost at any time a GO-AROUND must be initiated.

Q

Visual approach

A

1) AP/FD/OFF select downing track
2) ABM RUNGWAY, activate approach phase, Check SPD MANAGED, select GO-AROUND altitude.
3) SPD Green dot, flaps 1 at 1500ft.
4) ABM threshold, start timer (4sec /100ft, +/- 1sec/it wind)
5) Turning base on time, be configured FLAPS 2 BEFORE turning BASE
6) when flap 2, L/G down, spoilers ARMED
7) when L/G Down, flap 3, CHK SPD, flaps FULL, complete landing C/L
8) 1000ft AC stabilised with flaps full and target spd.
9) 400FT wings level
10) GO AROUND, set go around thrust, rotate to SRS (15deg NU), flaps retract

Q

AP/FD Common modes - APPROACH

A
  • for PRECISION approaches the flight crew uses the APPR pb on the FCU to arm or engage the LOC and G/S modes
  • for NON PRECISION, the flight crew uses the APPR pb on the FCU to arm or engage the APP NAV and FINAL guidance modes, except for LOC approaches, where the flight crew only uses the LOC pb to arm or engage the LOC mode.
