asdsad Flashcards
(12 cards)
What is Artificial Intelligence?
The ability of machines (mostly computers) to do things that usually require human intelligence, like:
- Understanding language
- Recognizing images
- Making decisions (e.g., recommending what movie to watch)
- Learning from data (like how a child learns from experience)
What is Narrow AI?
Can do one task very well (like Siri, Google Translate, or ChatGPT)
What is General AI?
A machine that can think and reason like a human (this doesn’t fully exist yet)
What is Superintelligent AI?
More capable than any human (this is theoretical for now)
What is Machine Learning (ML)?
A branch in AI: Computers learn patterns from data
What is Deep Learning?
A branch in AI: Uses artificial “neural networks” (like a brain) for complex tasks (e.g., self-driving cars)
What is Natural Language Processing (NLP)?
A branch in AI: Help computers understand human language (like ChatGPT).
What is Computer Vision?
A branch in AI: Lets computers understand images or videos
What is Robotics?
Combines AI with machines that can move and act (e.g., robots)
What is Generative AI?
Focuses on creating new content like images, music, video, and text based on examples it’s been trained on.
Which type of AI used in today’s email spam filters, speech recognition, and other specific applications?
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI)
What do you call the commonly used AI technology for learning input (A) to output (B) mappings?
Supervised Learning
