Name three things that can cause asthma:
Pollen; allergies; heavy exercise; cold; dust; pollution; stress; strong emotions; animals; weather; dust mites; mould; strong smells; tobacco smoke.
Name three ways in which people can get asthma:
1: Genetic
2: Increasing pollution
3: Being too clean as a child (you do not have a fully developed immune system)
What happens to the airways?
The airways become inflamed meaning there is less space for air to get through. Also excessive mucus is produced that also blocks the airways.
Name three symptoms of asthma:
Symptoms: Shortness of breath; coughing while laughing; coughing while playing sport; difficulty breathing; trouble sleeping; chest pains; fatigue; always getting colds;
