Q

What are the criteria for the Alert phase?

Apprehension exists to safety of a/c)

A

-Attempts to establish comms with an aircraft fail

-Cleared to land and fails to land after 5 mins

-Info suggest aircraft operating efficiency is impaired

-Aircraft is known/believed to be under unlawful control

21
Q

What are the criteria for the Distress phase?

(Reasonable certainty of danger to a/c exists)

A

-Additional attempts to establish comms fail
-Fuel onboard considered exhausted
-Info received suggests forced landing likely
-Info received that aircraft has/will make a forced landing

22
Q

What is a SSR?

A

-Area associated with a RCC where SAR is provided

23
Q

What is a RCC?

A
