A

Elements cannot be broken down into simpler substances.
Every element has its own chemical symbol, which appears in the periodic table of the elements.

Q

Metals

A

Metals are materials that are usually hard, dense, shiny and have high melting points. They are good conductors of heat and electricity.

Metals can be hammered into shape (malleable) and can be stretched into wire (ductile).
