Why would the Newmarket Road/Coldhams Lane traffic lights need to be used?
For any aircraft considered as an "upper medium" or larger for the purposes of waketurbulence for both arrivals and departures. Traffic lights can also be selected in the event of an emergency.

What does it mean if the colon in the clock on the panel is flashing? And if so what would you do and who would you tell?
This indicates that the clock is no longer receiving data from the master clock system located in level 4 equipment room. Over a period, the time on this display will fall out of sync. This fault is to be notified to ATE via telephone and via ATE fault log tool.

Why do we call GS?
The GS supervisor will either approve the departing aircraft for start with no delay, an airborne not before time or on occasion hold on the ground delay not determined. GS shall be called if Helimed is departing into the LTMA and for an IFR flight planned aircraft departing to airports listed under the LTMA.

During periods when the CAM hold is active, the APS ATCO will inform the ADI ATCO that VFR is restricted. All VFR aircraft either departing the circuit locally or departing en-route will be restricted initially to not above 2000ft by the ADI ATCO; this will keep them clear of traffic holding at CAM.
